While the gesture appears charitable, netizens have raised concerns, suggesting it may be an attempt to divert attention from his ongoing controversy with NAFDAC and critic, Verydarkman.
Thediscovererng.com reports that NAFDAC had warned Nigerians against purchasing the prophet’s “miracle water” and “miracle soap,” which he claims can perform wonders and eradicate poverty. Verydarkman had dragged the prophet online for selling unregistered products, leading to a N1 billion lawsuit against him.
Commenters have accused the prophet of using the donation as a publicity stunt to redeem his image amidst the scandal. Some believe Verydarkman would have remained silent if the prophet’s actions were genuine, but would have spoken out if it were a negative issue.

@youngemmanuelj: People won’t see this and commend him oo, VDM won’t see this oo, but make e be b@d news, fiam, e don fly

@onlineguru: That’s their way after messing up they resolve to doing give away but why didn’t he just give the woman the miracle money ♂️
@naija_eyes: Heaven is far from this men , true men of God won’t do this public show of help
@wayas_opinion: He for give am stone
Make she use stone the babies
But this is the only pastorish thing i’ve heard he did
@odukoyeisaac: This is why I condemn the unecessary act of recording while giving to people!!!!. Even the Bible says But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”
This is a terrible thing to do from a man of God.
As the case continues in court, the public remains skeptical about the prophet’s intentions.
