The investigation stems from an audio recording leaked by VeryDarkMan, in which Bobrisky allegedly claimed to have paid ₦15 million to EFCC officers in exchange for leniency during her prosecution. The recording, which went viral on social media, has sparked nationwide interest, leading to calls for an official probe by the House of Representatives.
The appearance of VeryDarkMan at the House of Reps is seen as a critical step in the ongoing inquiry, as lawmakers seek to uncover the truth behind the allegations.
Bobrisky, in turn, has denied all accusations, dismissing the viral recording as “AI-generated” and claiming that it is an attempt to tarnish her reputation.
As the House of Representatives delves deeper into the probe, the outcome could have significant ramifications, not only for those involved but also for how such high-profile cases are handled moving forward.
