The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expelled its suspended National Vice Chairman for the South-East, Ali Odefa, over accusations of anti-party activities.
The expulsion, carried out by Oguduokwor Ward in Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, comes after a disciplinary process that began with Odefa’s suspension on September 11, 2024.
The move followed a Federal High Court ruling on November 29, 2024, which upheld Odefa’s suspension, clearing the path for the party to finalize its decision.
According to the ward’s executive committee, a disciplinary panel reviewed the allegations against Odefa and found them credible. Based on the committee’s recommendations, the ward approved his expulsion on December 11, 2024, in line with the PDP’s constitution.
With the expulsion, Ali Odefa’s membership in the PDP has been formally terminated, signaling the party’s firm stance against activities deemed detrimental to its interests.
