Kogi State Auditor General for Local Governments, Dr Yakubu Siyaka Adabenege has expressed the determination of the Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo-led administration to ensuring integrity in its governance processes, saying there will be no compromise in that regard.
Dr Adabenege spoke Tuesday in Abuja after receiving an honourary doctoral degree in Public Policy Administration from Prowess University, Delaware in the United States of America USA as well as distinguished fellowship award from the Chartered Institute of Information and Strategy Management CIISM.
He said: “As auditors, our job is to use our Pens to promote transparent and accountability in both public and private sectors. We do not just probe, we also correct. I will continue to urge everyone of us to do the little we can, anywhere we find ourselves, to improve on the lives of others.”
Registrar of the CIISM, Dr Adelanke Oyintoke said Dr Adabenege had exhibited the values of excellence in public service and that his remarkable achievements in the accounting profession had not gone unnoticed.
He said the awardee who is popularly known as ‘Fancy’ is an expert in the field of accounting and financial accuracy who had earlier served as Personal Assistant to the present Governor of the state.
Chartered Institute of Information and Strategy Management CIISM is incorporated as Institute of Information and Strategy Management with approval from Federal Ministry of Education.
Some dignitaries at the event included the Senior Special Assistant SSA on Commerce to the Kogi state Governor, Hon. Joseph Best Omeiza; Chairman of the Independent Campaign Council for Ododo Movement, Alhaji Adams Onota; educational consultant and lecturer at the University of Abuja, Dr Audi Jamiu Ovivi; Alhaji Idris Rabiu and many others.
