The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation to all 43 academic programs offered by the Federal University Kashere in Gombe State.
This approval followed the successful accreditation exercise conducted by the NUC in October and November 2023.
According to the NUC document obtained by our correspondent on Saturday, all four postgraduate programs and 32 undergraduate programmes received full accreditation, while seven undergraduate programs received interim accreditation.
This means that the programmes have met the minimum standards set by the NUC and are eligible to run for the next five years.
Commenting on the development, the Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Umaru A. Pate, expressed gratitude to the NUC and commended the staff involved in the accreditation exercise.
He pledged to continue working towards improving the academic standards and quality assurance of the university.
“This accreditation status is a testament to the university’s commitment to providing quality education and its efforts to become a citadel of learning. With this approval, students can be assured that the programmes offered by the Federal University Kashere meet the national standards and are recognized by the NUC.”, he said.
