Amidst the ongoing fuel scarcity and skyrocketing prices, Paulo Okoye, a Nigerian talent manager, has made a passionate appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Aliko Dangote, and the NNPCL CEO to reduce the price of petroleum to N450.
Okoye, who took to social media to express his concerns, begged the trio to prove their love for Nigerians by alleviating the suffering caused by the fuel price hike. “Our President, Oga Aliko Dangote, NNPCL CEO, if you believe you love Nigerians, you should reduce the price of petroleum to N450. Grandpa Paulo, we dey beg, please Biko,” he wrote.

Okoye’s plea comes after several celebrities, including Destiny Etiko, Lizzy Gold, and Saidi Balogun, have spoken out against the economic hardship and fuel price increase. Etiko had lamented the situation, questioning what was happening in the country, while Gold noted the exorbitant prices of fuel and foodstuffs. Balogun, on the other hand, questioned the absence of functional price control agencies and appealed to the President to address the situation.
In June, Okoye had praised Nigerians for their patience, declaring them the most patient country in the world. He noted that despite the hardship, citizens continue to wake up with smiles on their faces, pushing through the difficulties. Etiko had also commended Nigerians for their resilience, crowning them the VIPs.
The appeals from these celebrities highlight the growing concern among Nigerians about the economic situation and the need for urgent action from those in power.
