The Nigerian Army has taken into custody a woman named Grace Markus, accused of serving as an informant for kidnappers operating in Taraba and Benue states.
Markus is suspected of spying for kidnappers and facilitating the recent abduction of Malam Saidu in Benue State’s Ukum Local Government Area.
According to a statement by Captain Oni Olubodunde, Acting Assistant Director of 6 Brigade Army Public Relations, Markus was arrested on September 6, 2024, during an intelligence-led operation in Taraba State’s Wukari Local Government Area.
