Niger State Government is to sponsor 1,000 Students in the State to study Science related courses in India to transform the state technologically.
Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago disclosed this in Bida during a Dinner, organised in his honour by the Niger South Stakeholders Forum.
The Farmer Governor said the world is evolving in terms of technology and Niger State needs to be in tune and not be left behind.
Farmer Governor Bago who acknowledged the great potentials that abound in the State, stressed that Nigerlites by making the optimal use of the potentials for their good and that of the State.
He used the forum to disclose that the State Government will not be intimidated by anyone in its quest to improve the infrastructure of the State pointing out that Bida would be developed while calling on the people for support and cooperation.
The farmer Governor who specifically recognised Lavun local government Council Chairman, Isah Mohammed for his commitment and developmental strides in the area, pledged to continue to support him for greater service delivery while calling on other Council Chairmen to borrow a leave from their colleague.
Various speakers at the event including the Niger State Head of Service, Engr. Salisu Abubakar, member representing Bida/Gbako/Katcha Federal Constituency, Saidu Musa Abdullahi, member representing Bida 2 State Constituency, Haruna Mohammed, Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Abdullahi Adamu Mamagi and his counterpart at the State Ministry for Basic Education, Dr. Hadiza Asabe Mohammed, all showered encomium on the farmer Governor for his remarkable and transformational achievements so far in Office.
They all assured him of their support to achieve his goals for the overall development of the State.
