The Adunu and Ishau District Council (AIDYC) has commended the lawmaker representing Bosso/Paikoro Federal Constituency, Yusuf Kure Baraje over his community development efforts.
While also urging him to pay attention to the development of Adunu and Ishau ward in Niger State.
AIDYC revealed this on Monday in a statement by the secretary of the association, Nehemiah Waziri.
The statement commended the Lawmaker over his effort since assuming office, applauding him for providing Solars, Fertilizer and the ongoing building of primary school in Adunu, and some other developmental projects within the community.
The group pleaded with the lawmaker on the pressing needs of the community from provisions of boreholes, repairing and fixing of primary health care, schools, Ammale bridge and also the need for other developmental activities.
“Our youths need more jobs, grants for business and agricultural support, we want to be involved in active politics, involve the youth in carrying out projects.”
The leader of the group Hon Kingson Ibrahim, while speaking during a visit to the lawmaker also emphasized on need for awareness during politics, “our people need to be carried along, we as a group are ready to support you everyday, we’re ready to work for you.
“Wherever there are challenges during your first tenure we’re ready to work as a team to correct such impression.”
Yusuf Kure in respond to AIDYC he said, “I most appreciate God almighty and AIDYC for giving us this opportunity to meet, i am happy seeing vibrant youths like this joining their hands together as a team.
“During our time we weren’t as organized as you’re today, I will encourage you don’t be scared of disappointment because it will come but always be ready to move even if it’s you alone.
“Kure has urged the group to get qualify teachers on PTA and promise to give them stipend at the end of the month.
“Politics is a home for everyone, as I am today it’s my wish to see someone in this position tomorrow.
“I can assure the people of Ishau and Adunu that projects are just beginning, I will not disappoint my people, the hospital in Ishau I will fix it, if possible I will build another hospital before the end of my tenure.
“I will build more boreholes ranging from Ishau market and other communities. For employment it has already began and more will come
“When light came to Adunu my intention was for it to reach Ishau but one thing or the other stopped it, I can assure you light will reach Ishau.
“If you recall have been insulted on so many occasion even when I wasn’t in power, but as a leader you most always accept such from your people.
“As for Ammale bridge I am ready to fix it, but I can’t do it without the government approval, even when I requested that the project should be given to community to do it upto this moment that request hasn’t been approve, I don’t think anyone wants that project to be done like I do, but you have to understand that those things have procedure, when ever it’s approve, I am ready to do it.
“I am assuring you of a massive empowerment coming soon that will change the lives of many of our people.
“Serving my people right has always been my passion in politics, never feel too young to contest for any political office, I can tell you before the election that brought me into power, I wasn’t even having money to buy form but today I am here it’s God’s grace.
“If among the youths any of you decide to contest tomorrow, I can assure you, I will buy form for the person as long the person is the youths candidate, I will give my full support.
“I know I can’t do everything for you but I will do my best to make my people happy.
“I can’t be here for four years without doing a good job for my people, is your mandate that brought me here so I will not disappoint you,” he said.
