In a significant boost to education, the North East Development Commission (NEDC) and Lobito Group for Asiwaju have distributed essential instructional materials to 96,000 primary, junior, and senior secondary school students across 20 local government areas.
Malam Usman Yau Darazo, National Coordinator of Lobito Group for Asiwaju who disclosed this at the flagging off the distribution on Saturday in Bauchi weekend emphasized the initiative’s importance in enhancing education for underprivileged children.
According to him, “The initiative is inline with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s renew hope agenda to ensure Nigeria children acquire quality Education
“This partnership aims to curb school dropouts and promote learning among disadvantaged children,” Yau said.
He said the distributed materials include, exercise books, School bags, Whiteboards,School shoes, Textbooks,Mathematical sets and Calculators among others, adding that “These items will directly benefit 4,800 pupils and students in junior and secondary schools across the state” .
Yau added that the materials will reinforce key concepts, promote retention through repetition, and cater to diverse learning styles.
“By providing these resources, NEDC and Lobito Group are investing in the education and future of Bauchi State’s children,”
Alhaji Mustapha Zarami, APC State Secretary, praised NEDC and Lobito Group for their commendable efforts.
According to him, “This partnership has previously supported farmers and vulnerable individuals and is now extending support to school children.”
A pupil beneficiary, Sani Adamu from Alkaleri LGA, appreciated NEDC and Lobito Group for their support.
“This support is encouraging; the materials received will help us in learning,” Adamu said. END
