Liverpool has set its sights on Eintracht Frankfurt’s star forward, Omar Marmoush, ahead of the 2025 transfer window.
According to CaughtOffside on Tuesday, the Reds may leverage their connection with Mohamed Salah to secure the Bundesliga’s standout player.
Marmoush, 25, has been in sensational form this season, emerging as one of the Bundesliga’s top performers.
The Egyptian forward has recorded nine goals and six assists across nine games, propelling Frankfurt to third place in the league, just one point behind Bayern Munich.
Marmoush’s recent performance included a stunning display against the Bavarian giants, where he netted two goals and provided an assist, further boosting his club’s prospects ahead of the international break.
Reports from Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg indicate that Eintracht Frankfurt is eager to secure Marmoush’s future, aiming to extend his contract until 2028 with a lucrative new deal. However, the forward is reportedly hesitant to commit, as Premier League interest looms.
The report stated, “The forward is believed to be hesitant about penning a new deal at Deutsche Bank Park, as the Egyptian has attracted interest from the Premier League ahead of the 2025 transfer window.
“The Sky reporter states that unless something extraordinary happens, Marmoush will remain with Frankfurt until the summer of 2025, but it is then that the English clubs could move.”
The potential role of Mohamed Salah, one of Liverpool’s most influential players and a fellow Egyptian, could be a decisive factor in attracting Marmoush to Anfield.
