A lawmaker representing Shanono/Bagwai constituency at the Kano State House of Assembly, Halilu Kundila, has been announced dead.
Until his death he was a member of state assembly of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
The lawmaker died after a protracted illness.
Rt, Hon jibrin Ismail Falgore, the Speaker, Kano State House of Assembly, in a condolence message by his Chief Press Secretary, Kamaluddeen Shawai confirmed the sad development.
“His death comes at a critical time when his people and the entire people of Kano State need him most.
“It’s a great loss not only to his family, Shanono and Bagwai local Governments but to the entire people of Kano State.
“On this sad day, on behalf of my family and members of Kano State House of Assembly, I sent our heartfelt condolences to the family of Hon Halilu Kundila member representing Shanono and Bagwai constituency and our deep sympathies are with the family.
“Falgore also prays to Allah to repose his soul, forgive his shortcomings and give the family the fortitude to bear the loss,” the statement however reads.
However, the lawmaker who his late was survive with 17 children and four wives.
