The Islamic Medical Association of Nigeria (IMAN) Gombe State branch on Sunday launched its newly established private hospital in Gombe State capital.
The facility named ‘IMAN Medical Home’ is located along Dukku park in the state capital and is meant to provide bring health services close to the people.
Our correspondent reports that the association also conducted free medical outreach to patients with various ailments as part of the activity to unveil the new hospital.
Addressing newsmen during a free medical outreach programs at the hospital, the state chairman of the association, Muhammad Nasir Ishaq stated that the establishment of the IMAN Medical Home is a major milestone for the association and the people of Gombe.
“Because our mission and objectives are to support the needy by way of providing all sorts of interventions to our people coming to hospitals for medical services, having our own hospital will further and advance our plan of reaching the people as at when needed.
“We have all the needed skilled medical professionals who are dedicated to delivering exceptional care to all patients and we are working on equipping the hospital to standard of a specialist hospital,” he explained.
Also, the chairman of the medical outreach committee, Dr Danimoh Mustapha Abdulsalam revealed that the outreach which is targeting to provide medical services to 1,000 or more patients, was to mark the commissioning of the hospital for public use.
He explained that the while the association intends to provide a comprehensive medical services within the hospital, it is also decided to take its commitment to the community a step further by offering free medical outreach program.
