Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD, CON has received heroic welcome and outpour of appreciation during the commissioning of a N3.5 billion dualized Kofar Soro to Kofar Guga Roundabout road in the Katsina State capital.
Addressing the ecstatic residents during the commissioning, Governor Radda stated that the road expansion is part of the urban renewal programme of his administration, noting that the Government is commited to creating modern, efficient urban spaces that can support economic growth and improve the citizens daily experiences.
Governor also stated that investing in critical infrastructure of this nature helps to lay the foundation for Katsina’s sustainable development.
While expressing joy over the timely completion of the project in nine months against the planned twelve months, the Governor declared that State Government has paid all the construction firms who handled the project.
Governor Radda concluded by appreciating Katsina state residents who trooped out en masse for the welcome visit which elongated a 5 minutes drive to about 30 minutes amidst inspiring jubilation and fanfare.
Earlier, in his welcome address, the State Commissioner of Works, Housing and Transport, Engr. (Dr) Sani Magaji Ingawa, accounted for the project structure, noting, it covers reconstruction, dualization and installation of Solar-powered street lights.
Engr. Ingawa particularly commended the effort of Governor Radda for prioritizing infrastructure projects in the state. He urged members of the benefiting communities to maintain and guard project against vandals.

Recall this project was among the nine roads originally approved by the Katsina State Executive Council during its inaugural sitting for the year 2024.
Initially flagged off on March 13, 2024, the road dualization project demonstrated Governor Radda administration’s dedication to timely project execution and infrastructural transformation. Also, the project is part of a broader vision of creating conducive environments for business growth and improving the quality of life for Katsina State residents.
