BBNaija: Phyna disowns family over lack of family support

Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner, Josephine Ijeoma Otabor, aka Phyna, has shocked many Nigerians by publicly disowning her family.

The Edo-born reality star also revealed her decision to drop her surname, Otabor. She disclosed this via her verified X handle on Thursday.

Phyna stated she has been going through difficulty times lately and further lamented that her family has never been supportive towards her since childhood.

The reality star wrote, “I am publicly dropping my family surname Otabor… It has been proven that I actually have no family and nobody knows how I came about…. I’m still searching for answers though.

“It’s been rough with me lately…… I’m in a place where I can’t even describe how I feel or what to call what I’m going through. Going up and the way I was toss around relative I should suspected but guess I was too young… omo my head wan tear!!”

Phyna’s dad, Mr Otabor few months ago called her out in a national daily for not assisting him and his family since stardom.
