Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has been honoured by the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Alumni FCT Chapter for his exceptional stewardship and reformative ideas in governance.
The prestigious award was presented to Governor Radda by former Vice President Namadi Sambo during the 2024 Alumni Lecture, Dinner and Award Night held in Abuja.
Governor Radda who earned both his M.Sc and PhD in Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology from Ahmadu Bello University, expressed deep appreciation for the recognition.
He described the honour as a challenge to continue contributing positively to ABU and the broader community.
As part of the ceremony, Governor Radda also presented awards to the daughters of notable academics Prof. Bala Usman, Patrick Wilmot, and Prof. Abdullahi Smith.
The event was attended by prominent national figures, including immediate Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; Minister of State for Agriculture, Senator Abdullahi Sabi; Obi of Onitsha and Chancellor ABU, His Majesty Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred Ugochukwu Achebe; the Guest Speaker, Madakin Zazzau, Malam Muhammadu Munir Jaafaru and several former ministers and political leaders. Governor Radda was accompanied by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Abdullahi Jabiru Tsaure, and Principal Private Secretary, Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Turaji.
