Abena Appiah, a talented Ghanaian actress and beauty queen, is poised to make a significant splash in Nollywood with her leading role in the upcoming film ‘On Different Grounds’, helmed by acclaimed director Mildred Okwo.
Abena Appiah, the trailblazing beauty queen who made history as the first Black woman and first Miss Grand USA to capture the Miss Grand International title in 2020, has seamlessly transitioned from the world of pageantry to the big screen, describing her acting career as ‘an exciting new chapter’.
Currently residing in Los Angeles, Abena Appiah is thrilled to be a part of the dynamic film industry, and she looks forward to dividing her time between the US and Africa, particularly Nigeria and Ghana, to support the growth of the African film industry.
Other actors in the movie include Bob-Manuel Udokwu, Jennifer Eliogu, Nkem Owoh, Uche Montana; and Indian film star, Vineet Raina.
The film was produced by Nicole Ndigwe-Kalu, who, according to a statement sent to Saturday Beats, has left no stone unturned in ensuring its success.
