The President of Dangote Petroleum Refinery, Aliko Dangote, has expressed plans to distribute its range of refined products, including petrol, diesel, and aviation fuel, not just within Nigeria but also across various African nations, once the refinery is fully operational.
During a panel discussion at the Africa CEO Forum in Kigali, Rwanda, on Friday, Dangote emphasized that the 650,000 barrels per day refinery can adequately address the domestic needs and also has the potential to supply refined products to fellow African nations.
He said, “We started producing jet fuel, we are producing diesel, by next month, we’ll be producing gasoline. What that will do, it will be able to take most African crudes.
“Our capacity is too big for Nigeria. It will be able to supply West Africa, Central Africa and also Southern Africa,”
