Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has vowed to tackle out-of-school children menace and improve the State’s educational standard.
Governor Radda made the vow while addressing community members at Fara Primary School in Mashi LGA of Katsina State during a collaborative event co-organized by the Katsina State Ministry of Basic and Secondary School Education Board (SUBEB), Better Education Service Delivery for All (BETESDA), and the Transforming Education System at State Level (TESS) Project.
According to a statement by the Governor Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, Malam Radda stressed the importance of education, stating, “Our purpose today is to discuss challenges and opportunities in our education system, particularly reducing out-of-school children and improving teacher training and infrastructure.”
The Katsina Governor urged the community members to take ownership of his administration’s initiative, ensuring “every child has access to education and that teachers fulfill their duties effectively.”
While acknowledging the challenges faced by the Northern region in education, Governor Radda reassured the community, “We are committed to leveraging our resources to enhance educational standards despite limitations.”
In closing, the Katsina Governor thanked the attendees for their participation, wishing them a safe trip back to their various destinations.
