Eleven suspected land grabbers will on Tuesday appear before the Wuse Chief Magistrate Court over allegations of multiple land grabbing, forgery and criminal conspiracy.
The court documents revealed that the said land grabbers also used their registered companies though, traceable to multiple addresses spread in Abuja however declined appearances before police investigators.
The matter was carefully investigated by the FCT police command with Barr. Umoh Ibor leading prosecution.
The suspects include Mr Francis Bisong, Chief Emmanuel Igbe of Julnancypaul Nigeria LTD of 1st Avenue, Federal Housing, FHA) Behind Polaris Bank. LUGBE, Abuja and Engineer Ade (surname unknown) of Apase Luxury Homes, Abuja.
Those charged to the Wuse Magistrate Court 9, Abuja include a company, Apase Luxury Homes; suite M210/211 Millennium Builders Plaza. Plot 251 Herbert Maculay way, Central Business District, Abuja, Mallam Dada Dricha Usman, Federal Housing Authority (FHA) LUGBE Abuja and Mr Ojo Kehinde Dare of Ana kuse street valley Mastwuce.
According to a police source, Mr Dare has multiple addresses including No. 42 Gosa primary school Airport Road Abuja and House NO. 4, 14 Road 1st Avenue, Gwarimpa, Abuja.
Others include Alhaji Haruna Baba Jauro Bawa of Yorro, Taraba state, Alhaji Umar Usman of Karu village behind ECWA Church, Abuja, Mr Ezekiel Agerabul of Jikwoi phase 3 extension FCT Abuja respectively.
The list has Mr Solomon Ameh Idako and Solomon Ameh who also has multiple addresses traced to Dorita Nigeria ltd and suite 39 2nd Floor, Shalom Plaza, Gudu, Abuja.
The eleven had annexed plots already allocated officially by the Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.
It took the police two good years under three commissioners of police to establish substance on the matter.
Our findings further gathered that rather than face prosecution, the suspects approached the monitoring unit of the Inspector General of Police, IGP for assistance.
We gathered that the complainants of plot MF2200 Sabon Lugbe East Extension, Abuja (names with held) had approached the court in October 2021 for a justice.
From a police document before the Magistrate Court, the accused are being charged for direct criminal conspiracy, criminal land trespass, intimidation, willfully placing of person in fear of psychologically trauma and forgery of FCT documents to cheat the original allottee which is an offence under the penal code.

Further investigation revealed that two of the suspects had cloned the original document of the allotee with others even tendering two FCDA offer letters.
A court source revealed that if not for the diligence job by the FCT into the matter which frustrated the land grabbers, dozens of others would have fallen victim.

Some directors of the listed companies are on the run as they declined appearance before the first court sitting.
