A governorship aspirant in Abia state, Chief Henry Ikoh has thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for constituting the South East Development Commission (SEDC) and particularly appointing Hon Emeka Nwogu as Chairman of the board and Hon Stanley Ohajuruka as the Executive Director Finance in the Commission .
Ozurumba Henry Ikoh described the new development as strategic move by the President that will reposition the APC in Abia State and the the South East ahead of the 2027 general elections
Chief Ikoh while congratulating the new Board Chairman, Emeka Nwogu and Hon Stanley Ohajuruka the new Executive Director Finance , advised them to use the opportunity to attract infrastructure development in Abia state and the South East in general.
Following the new development in the infinite wisdom of President Tinubu , the updated list features major changes, including the replacement of all three previously nominated executive directors and the addition of two new ones.
Stanley Ohajuruka now takes charge as the Executive Director Finance , Hon Toby Okechukwu steps in as the Executive Director Projects, while Chief Sylvester Okonkwo becomes the Executive Director Corporate Services. Chidi Echeazu and Dr. Clifford Ogbede join as additional executive directors without specific portfolios.
In the new list Hon. Mark C. Okoye remains the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer.
The Abia State Rep Donatus Eyinnah Nwankpa, has been removed.
Other Board members retained by the President are Barr. Ugochukwu H. Agballah, Hon. Okey Ezenwa, Chief Hyacinth Ikpor, Barr. Ifeanyi Agwu, Nasiru Usman and Hamma Adama Ali Kumo.
