Six person have been confirmed dead, with five others injured in an auto crash involving a trailer, lorry and two tricycles in Ibadan.
Reports revealed that the accident involved a trailer conveying tiles and a lorry loaded with soft drinks at Oke Eleshin, Amuloko along Akanran road, Ibadan, Oyo state capital.
According to an eye witness account, the accident was as a result of an alleged brake failure of the trailer that descended the slope of the road.
It was gathered that as the trailer lost control, it crushed a tricycle, with another lorry conveying soft drinks from behind it, trying to avoid hitting the trailer in front, then crushed another tricycle.
In the process, six persons died while five persons sustained injuries in the confusion arising from the incident.
Oyo state Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Mrs. Rosemary Alo, while reacting on the accident, said she would officially confirm when her men brief her appropriately.
While the corpse of the dead persons have been conveyed to a hospital, four of the injured who were conveyed to Amuloko City Hospital nearby included two primary school children who were treated as out- patients while two with severe injuries have been admitted for proper treatment.
