First runner-up in the just concluded Big Brother Naija (No Lose Guard) Season Nine, Wanni Dambaki, has shrugged off the claims by some people that on account of the altercations she had with some other housemates in the house, she exhibited traits of toxicity.
Speaking with Saturday Beats barely 24 hours after leaving the show, she said, “That is life for you. One cannot go through life without fighting anybody. It is only natural to fight and make up, while laughing or crying over certain things. It’s nothing too much.”
On how she felt coming out of the house, she exclaimed, “Freedom! I am happy to be outside to meet everybody. The love is overwhelming, and I am ready to take on challenges, and also have fun.
“Of course, I have fun wherever I go. But, I need to come out, make money and relate with people. The ‘party’ has started.”
She also stated that she did not know she would make it to being the top two contestants in the house.
Revealing how the chemistry she shares with her twin sister and partner, Handi, was developed, Wanni said, “We have been together for 28 years. She is my soulmate and best friend. We are sync in with each other. We dance and DJ together. We have choreographies that we have done over and over again.”
Shedding light on why they decided to pursue a career as DJs, Wanni said, “It just felt natural. It felt like food to be a DJ. As females, it felt like unapologetically owning that space, and it has been amazing. I cannot wait for what the future holds for the brand.”
