The Presidential Committee on the Sale of Crude Oil and Refined Products has announced that the Dangote Refinery will begin loading its first batch of petrol on Sunday, September 15.
Zacch Adedeji, Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and a member of the committee, made this revelation during a press briefing in Abuja on Friday.
Adedeji confirmed that all necessary agreements have been finalized, paving the way for the refinery to supply petroleum products to the domestic market.
Starting October 1, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) will supply approximately 385,000 barrels per day (kbpd) of crude oil to the Dangote Refinery, with payments made in Naira.
In return, the refinery will provide an equivalent value of petrol and diesel to the domestic market, also payable in Naira.
