Ahead of 2027 general elections, plans are in top gear to float a new political alliance aimed to sack President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led All Progressives Congress (APC), Thediscovererng.com has learnt reliably.
The plan will lead to massive abandonment of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) by the Atiku Abubakar and his loyalists who formed larger percentage of the PDP members due to perceived mismanagement of the party by the current Damagun-led National Working Committee (NWC) already accused of working for a former Rivers state governor Nyesom Wike, who is currently serving as a minister under the APC government.
It was also reliably gathered that some members of APC under the leadership of former Governor of Kaduna state, Nasir El-rufai, who were of the defunct’s Muhammadu Buhari Congress of Progressives Change (CPC), has tentatively agreed to the said alliance with Atiku’s group to actualize the grand political plans.
When this medium digged deep, it was revealed that some Northern governors across political parties are also part of this arrangement against the ruling APC and the current President.
A dependable source who is actively part of this move informed Thediscovererng.com that the calibres of other prominent politicians across the country who have indicated interest were more than those who formed the APC in 2023.
The source said: “We are coming together to rescue this country. It is not about our personal interests alone, it is about the future of this country.
“I can confirm to you that PDP will soon break and the majority, up to 75% will leave for another political arrangement with some APC governors and all the aggrieved leaders in the ruling party.
“We must do this to defeat this clueless government in 2027 and I can tell you that we have gone far on this arrangement.
“So, wait for it. Nigerians will soon hear from us. We are going to provide better alternative to what we have now. The joy is that all our major opposition leaders across major political parties and within APC have agreed to this plan which will shake the political foundation of Nigeria,” the source revealed.
On Sunday, a popular former Senator and political ally of Atiku Abubakar, Dino Melaye, had said founding fathers of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will be turning in their graves because of what the current leadership of the opposition party was doing.
Melaye listed names like Alex Ekwueme, Solomon Lar, Sunday Awoniyi, Adamu Chiroma, Tony Anenih and Abubakar Rimi, among those that will be sad over “all shenanigans” going in the PDP.
The Kogi state born politicians accused the current PDP National Chairman, National Secretary, among others of mismanaging a supposed national party.
The Senator, however, declared obituary of the PDP.
He had earlier on Saturday declared that PDP was dead, owing to loyalty of its National Chairman and the National Secretary to the former Rivers state governor Nyesom Wike, who is currently serving as a minister under the ruling All Progressives Congress government.
Dino Melaye took to his Facebook to write: “PDP is the only surviving party of the 4th Republic. After 27 years of surviving all shenanigans.
“Alex Ekwueme, Solomon Lar, Sunday Awoniyi, Adamu Chiroma, Tony Anenih, Abubakar Rimi etc will be turning in thier graves seeing what Damagun, Ayanwu and Bature are doing to the dream of building a national party.
“PDP now, Obituary!!! SDM.”
