After arriving from France, president Bola Tinubu has sworn in Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun as the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria.
She was inaugurated after the retirement of Justice Olukayode Ariwoola.
Her appointment awaits confirmation by the Senate, after which she would become the 23rd Chief Justice of the nation.
The swearing-in ceremony took place on Friday at the Council Chamber of the State House in Abuja, where Justice Kekere-Ekun officially took the oath of office and signed the register.

On Thursday, Ajuri Ngelale, the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, announced the impending swearing-in of Justice Kekere-Ekun.
President Tinubu expressed his gratitude to the outgoing Justice Ariwoola for his dedicated service to the country.
