The former Federal Commissioner for Information and South-South leader, Chief Edwin Clark has asked the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Iliya Damagun to show the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Administration, Nyesom Wike way out for the survival of the party.
The Clark, in an open letter to the Acting National Chairman of PDP, explained how the former Governor of Rivers State is allegedly using his closeness to President Bola Tinubu to intimidate the Rivers State governor, Siminalayi Fubara and the party.
The leader of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), who read the letter at a press briefing at his Asokoro residence on Tuesday in Abuja noted that he could not stand by and allow the minister to continue to hound the governor.
The leader of the Southern and Middle-Belt Leaders Forum, SMBLF who noted that he was already a politician before Wike was born, told Damagun that if they do not stop the minister, the matter will consume him, Wike and their cohorts.
Clark who disclosed that he was writing a book titled, “PDP: to be or no to be,” said that after criticizing former Governors Bello Matawalle (Zamfara), Dave Umahi (Ebonyi) and Ben Ayade (Cross River) for defecting to the All Progressives Congress (APC), Wike is now “dancing naked” with the same ruling party.
“After conceding that former Rivers State governor, Peter Odili and his wife made him what he is today and will forever remain grateful to them, he is now abusing them. I won’t allow him to destroy Rivers State,” Clark declared.
He alleged that having failed to use the APC to disrupt the PDP, Wike is now using the party against itself.”
