Wunmi, the widow of late singer Mohbad, has addressed the recent accusations leveled against her by her sister, Karimot. In a statement, Wunmi expressed gratitude for the support she has received during this difficult time.
She acknowledged the false accusations from various quarters, including family, friends, and strangers, but chose not to engage in public debates or defend herself on social media.
Instead, Wunmi emphasized her focus on defending her truth in a court of law. She also spoke up to protect her late husband’s memory, urging those who loved him to refrain from speaking ill of him.
Wunmi’s statement reads in part:
“I will not engage in public debates or counter lies on social media. My focus is on defending my truth in court… I beg you, don’t tarnish Ilerioluwa’s memory. Disrespecting him in death shows disdain for his entire family.”
Wunmi’s words come amidst ongoing controversy surrounding Mohbad’s death, including allegations of paternity fraud and suspicions about his passing.
