Matrix Energy Group, a leading indigenous oil marketing and trading company, has debunked a recent online publication that featured the company’s name in a negative light.
The company, in a press release issued by Ibrahim Akinola of the Corporate Communications Unit, described the publication as a “tissue of lies” and sought to set the records straight.
The company emphasised its commitment to quality and integrity, highlighting its substantial investments in strategic infrastructure, including vessels, oil and gas terminals, trucks, and retail outlets across 28 states.
Matrix Energy Group also noted its recognition and approval by global international companies, national oil companies, major construction firms, and various end-users.
Contrary to claims made in the publication, Matrix Energy Group denied discharging 200,000 metric tons of PMS into its facility in July 2024.
The company assured that it has never imported or distributed any substandard cargo in its two decades of operation.
Matrix Energy Group also addressed concerns about its business practices, stating that it operates above board and in line with international best practices.
The company reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Nigeria by ensuring the availability of petroleum products at competitive prices, in alignment with Mr. President’s vision for the country.
