The Acting Governor of Katsina State, Malam Faruq Lawal Jobe, has hailed Usman Abdullahi Babai of Katsina State on his selection for the prestigious 18-man La Liga NPFL U17 team set to compete in Spain.
In a congratulatory message to the player, Ag. Governor Jobe remarked, “Usman’s achievement is a testament to his exceptional talent, hard work, and dedication to the sport. His selection from a pool of over 300 players showcases the high caliber of his skills and the bright future that lies ahead for him in football. We are particularly proud that Usman is the only player from Northern Nigeria in this team, representing not just Katsina but the entire region.”
The Acting Governor further added, “We are delighted to note that Usman is a product of the Katsina Football Academy, an initiative of His Excellency, Governor Dikko Umaru Radda. This underscores the importance of investing in our youth and sports development programs.”
“We are particularly proud of Usman’s leadership qualities, as evidenced by his frequent role as captain during the selection process. This speaks volumes about his character and ability to inspire his teammates,” Malam Jobe continued.
