The sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps has assumed office in Anambra state.
A statement by the FRSC Sector Public Education Officer (SPEO), Mrs Margaret Onabe, on Tuesday in Abuja stated that Alexander was the 15th Substantive Sector Commander of the FRSC in the state.
Onabe said that the new sector commander took over from Mr Adeoye Irelewuyi who had been posted to Jos as the Acting Zonal Commanding Officer, (ZCO) RS4HQ since July 24.
She said that the redeployment was a routine exercise aimed at strengthening the system for better service delivery.
”The postings are intended to enthrone enhanced performance and efficiency in road traffic management and safety administration in Nigeria,”she said.
Onabe said that the new sector commander’s outstanding reputation had emerged from an ability to apply critical expertise in extremely challenging environments and demonstrated extraordinary.
This, he added were her unwavering dedication to the safety and security of lives and property on the roads
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the new sector commander hails from Arochukwu Local Government Area of Abia State,
She holds a Bachelor of Arts ( BA) degree in English and Literary Studies from the University of Calabar, Cross River State in 1989.
She was enlisted into the FRSC in 1997 as Senior Route Commander and progressed her way through the ranks till January 2023 when she was promoted to the rank of Corps Commander.
Alexander has held several positions in the Corps, notable among which are:
Presenter/Producer, Road Safety Watch, an FRSC Public Enlightenment Programme on NTA International and Unit Commander, Lugbe, Abuja.
She attended a host of professional capacity development courses, including, Diploma Course in journalism at NTA Television College and Defensive Driving Technique Course by the American National Safety Council.
Until her recent deployment, She has served as Zonal Head of Operations, Zone RS7HQ, Abuja and was the Corps Commander, Academy, (Training) RSHQ, FRSC National Headquarters Abuja.
