Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago has said his administration will continue to invest heavily in the purchase of security equipment to address the security challenges in the State.
Bago stated this when he paid Sallah homage to the Emir of Kagara, Alh. Ahmed Attahiru Gunna II at his palace in Kagara.
Bago in a statement by his Chief press secretary Bologi Ibrahim, said his government has so far sunk lots of money in purchasing sophisticated gadgets that would aid in tackling insecurity in the State head-on.
The Farmer Governor used the opportunity to condole with the Emir and the entire people of the Emirate over the recent killings in the Madaka Community by bandits, assuring that his administration is working round the clock to ensure that security is tightened in the State.
He said his government would not relent in its agricultural revolution which is aimed at increasing food production and security.
While acknowledging the support from the Kagara Emirate, the Farmer Governor encouraged them to key into the initiatives of government at all levels and sustained their prayers for them.
He described the Emir of Kagara as a selfless leader whose efforts in developing the Emirate remain undaunted pointing out that his administration will continue to strengthen the already existing relationship with traditional institutions.
Emir of Kagara, Ahmed Attahiru Gunna II commended the Governor for improving the security situation in the Region which he said has encouraged farmers to return to their farms.
The Emir who appreciated the Farmer Governor for the visit and his tremendous efforts to better the lives of the citizens, promised that the Emirate will continue to support his people-oriented policies and ensure that he succeeds
The Farmer Governor thereafter attended the mini Durbar in some major parts of the Town.
