Chelsea has entered the competition to sign Atletico Madrid striker Samu Omorodion, who is also being pursued by Milan, Roma, and Napoli.
The Blues have made no secret of their desire to acquire a new center-forward during the summer transfer window, and they are eager to offload Romelu Lukaku, who has recently returned to the club following his loan stint at Roma.
Now Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio claims they are ready to pour their financial resources into targeting Omorodion. He only turned 20 last month and spent this season on loan with Deportivo Alaves, where he scored nine goals with one assist in 35 LaLiga appearances.
That earned him interest from Roma and Napoli, but neither can compete on an economic level with Chelsea.
Milan were also mentioned four days ago, but only if the move for Bologna‘s Joshua Zirkzee falls apart.
The €40m price tag on Romelu Lukaku has led to creative solutions, with Roma (Giallorossi) proposing a loan deal with an option to buy, while Napoli’s interest is contingent on their ability to sell Victor Osimhen first.
If Victor Osimhen exits, Romelu Lukaku would become the primary target for Antonio Conte, Napoli’s new coach, to occupy the central striker role.
