The management of popular Nigerian online newspapers, The Discoverer Nigeria, has thanked President Bola Tinubu for appointing it’s editor, Arowolo Solomon Alaba as member governing council, Federal Polytechnic Kaduna (KADPOLY).
Arowolo, a Kogi State born experienced journalist and former students union leader, is the pioneer editor of the fast-growing Abuja based online Newspaper, The Discoverer Nigeria.
TheDiscovererng.com had reported that Arowolo along 554 other Nigerians were announced as member governing council of federal tertiary institutions in the country.
In a statement on Sunday signed by the Managing Editor of the media outfit, Adedayo Olagoke, the management described the appointment as “a great honour” to the entire media workers at large.
The statement revealed that the choice of the media expert would be justified by “outstanding contributions, administrative experience, scholarship and excellence which he would inject into the Tinubu-led government towards ensuring good governance, democratic dividends as well as shared prosperity in the nation.”
The statement added that “Arowolo will surely bring to fore his wealth of experience as a Public Relations practitioner, former students leader, media practitioner, and his born ‘Omoluabi’ ethos.”
The management also expressed confidence in Arowolo’s ability to justify the confidence reposed in him by the president.
While congratulating Arowolo on the appointment, the management charged him to bring on board his exceptional skills , dedication, commitment and unwavering commitment to public service in his new role.
Arowolo Solomon Alaba was born in the early 90s in Ayere-Ijumu local government area of Kogi state, to the family of Engr Chief and Mrs Benjamin Bayo Arowolo of Okomi royal clan.
He had his primary school education at Model ILEGA school Ayere afterwards, attended Ijumu Anglican Science Secondary, Iyara where he obtained his Senior School Certificate.
Haven graduated with merits, proceeded immediately to Rehoboth Computer Institute, Kabba where he bagged Diploma in 2013. For the love of education, Arowolo Solomon Alaba, proceeded to bag Bachelor Degree in Mass Communication in 2019 from the prestigious Kogi State University, which is now known as Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba.
During his undergraduate days, he served with Ayere Students Union, where he rose to become the Union’s Secretary General, Public Relations Officer and the Clerk of the Legislative between 2014 and 2017.
In January 2018, he was appointed National Speaker of Ijumu Students Union, a responsibility he discharged creditably.
In July 2018 he was also appointed the Electoral Chairman of Mass Communication Students Association, Kogi state University chapter where he was able to conduct the most free and fair election in the history of the department at that time.
In order to fulfil his lifetime desire of becoming a learned individual, he further proceeded to bagged Masters Degree in Mass Communication (Public Relations) from Nasarawa State University, Keffi in 2024.
He was employed as a reporter by the defunct Legend Magazine in November 2019, after an impressive career, he was then promoted as social media manager of the magazine.
In the year 2019, his impressive journalistic career caught the eyes of prominent Nigerian national newspaper, Blueprint Newspapers, where he was employed as Social media officer.
He is currently working as the online editor of one of the fastest growing Nigerian online news platform, The Discoverer Nigeria, a platform that has devoted it’s policy to unraveling facts about events, people and places.
He marketed the aspiration of president Bola Tinubu during the eve of the 2023 presidential election as he worked assiduously under Tinubu Support Group, serving the role of media officer and social media strategist.
