Nigerian crossdresser, James Brown, has paid a visit to his colleague, Idris Okuneye, known popularly as Bobrisky at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre in Lagos.
Bobrisky is presently incarcerated at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre, serving a six-month prison sentence for violating Nigeria’s currency laws by mishandling and abusing the naira notes.
James Brown took to Instagram to share updates about his visit to Bobrisky at the correctional facility, accompanied by a group of friends.
In his post, James Brown expressed his concern and support for Bobrisky’s well-being.
“I went to Kirikiri prison to visit Bobrisky to know if she is alright,” he wrote in his post on Friday.
In April, the Nigerian Correctional Service issued a statement, signed by its spokesperson Rotimi Oladokun, confirming that Bobrisky was being held in a male correctional facility, where he was complying with the institution’s rules and regulations, including the dress code, and was being housed among male inmates.
The Nigerian Correctional Service’s statement emphasized that Bobrisky was receiving equal treatment as all other male inmates at the facility, with no special privileges or exemptions.
